What is the size of the Nascar Cup series rule book in pages?
Does anyone know how big this so called rule book is? How many rules? Is it given to the team manager as a book or can it be put on a computer? Does Nascar charge the teams for a copy of the rule book? Thanks!

- ten 9 pages of pictures one page of x's
- # How can someone get a NASCAR Nextel Cup [or Busch or Trucks] Rules Book? Only teams, drivers, NASCAR Officials can get a Nextel Cup rules book. NASCAR does not sell them and I can't get them for anyone. You can join NASCAR, last I heard it was $400, see 1st question above on ways to contact NASCAR Rules and Guidelines NASCAR issues five different Rule Books, each of which includes in its title reference to a particular NASCAR-sanctioned series. There is a NASCAR Rule Book for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, a NASCAR Rule Book for the NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Regional Touring Series and NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. Each NASCAR Rule Book is published exclusively for NASCAR members.
- I've heard that there is no rule book - they use an Etch A Sketch. Seriously, their rule book is a mystery. Only teams, drivers and NASCAR officials can have them.
- I think Mike Helton makes it up as he goes along.
- 876 no wait 877 no wait 878 ok....oh no 879 DAMNIT STOP CHANGING STUFF NASCAR 880 ;)
- You mean you know there really is a book? Go Jr.>>>>
- It is a mystery...I think it's like the Harry Potter book...(the Tom Riddle diary) the pages are empty until someone asks a question... They should publish the book each season like most other sports...
- The rule book is distributed to owners and crew chiefs (and team people) only. It's not available to fans and it's not online. From what some announcers on TV have said, it's 50 some odd pages. I'm not sure how many rules there are, because NASCAR makes up new rules when it sees fit. I wish, from a fan perspective, that NASCAR would at least publish the basic rules on their website. As an open wheel fan my entire life, when I started watching NASCAR 9 years ago, I didn't know what the car specs were or anything like that. If they published those kind of things on their website, it would help new fans understand what kind of cars they're watching race.
